You've dreamed, planned, and waited. Now's the time to build the home you've always wanted - a unique design, exclusively for you.
As an experienced architect, John Tee will help you navigate the design and construction process, define your aesthetic goals, and demonstrate how to maximize the value of your home. From design sketches to final construction plans, he will give you personal and timely attention.
It all begins with an initial meeting between you and the architect to establish your design goals. Together, both parties discuss the architectural program - your wish list. This usually includes the style of home, size, general layout, property description, timing, and budget.
After the program is defined, the architect will submit a proposal that outlines the scope of the work. The proposal identifies both your and the architect's responsibilities, design fee, and timing. Upon an agreement, a formal Architect & Owner Agreement will be entered.
The design process starts once a retainer has been submitted. Then the preliminary design phase (initial sketches) begins, followed by design development (refined drawings), and then the final construction drawings. Additional services may also include specifications, cost estimates, and renderings (art work).
